Timetable Automatic generation

Automatic generation, assigns positions in the timetable to the lessons or courses previously defined that
  • satisfies all the constraints (if this is not possible for too many constraints, it sends an error message)
  • compact groups or grades timetable (idle periods, or gaps, are not permitted)
  • reduction of teacher's idle periods and distribution among teachers.
  • maximum duration of the lessons (or courses) of not more than two or three periods (unless otherwise specified)
  • reduction of work overload for teachers
  • reduction of working days with only one period of lessons (in the case of teachers with a few periods a week, of course this is more difficult)

To access the automatic genearation page, select Timetable (in the navigation menu in the upper part of the page) and then the green button Automatic generation or the corresponding item in the menu on the left side.

Automatic generation ...

... loads the application to generate the timetable.
After a few seconds, once the application loaded, by clicking on generates timetable button, it starts processing, the duration of which depends on several factors:

  • number of groups or grades/ teachers / lessons
  • number of teachers / groups or grades constraints and global constraints
  • number of lessons or courses of duration greater than one period
  • number of lessons or courses with co-teachers
  • number of split-classes
timetable with 13 groups or grades, 37 teachers and 309 lessons or courses, with constraints (days off and teachers in-service in other schools), with co-teacher, and a split class :
processing time: 20 seconds (including loading / downloading data).

timetable with 51 teachers and 1513 lessons or courses and 97 groups or grades, with constraints (days off and in-service teachers in other schools), co-teachers and many lessons with a duration more than one period: processing time: 75 seconds.

Cancel Timetable

All the buttons to cancel the timetable, involving the cancellation of schedules generated, the lessons or courses included are not eliminated but they lose their place in the timetable.
You can choose to maintain the global constraints and teachers/groups or grades constraints.
