Weekly structure

At this stage is defined the structure of the weekly timetable, ie the number of working days and the maximum number of periods per day.
A period is a time slot, usually it's duration is one hour, a weekly school timetable (or schedule) is a table with time slots containing lessons or courses disposed into the week days, in a way to avoid clashes.

To access the management panel , select My Home (in the navigation menu in the upper part of the page) and then weekly structure in the side menu on the left.

Weekly structure parameters

Number of working days per week

It is equal to 6 working days per week, if the school works saturday. Most schools opt for the saturday off, in which case it must be inserted 5. The number entered can be only 5 or 6.

Maximum number of daily periods

It is a pretty variable choice that should be done in relation with the groups or grades with more periods.
With standard timetables over 6 days usually 5 or 6 periods is a valid choice.

Prefered maximum working periods per day (teachers)

It is related to teachers, is clearly linked to the previous parameter, if the maximum number of periods per day for the groups is equal to 6, the prefered maximum number of working periods per day for the teachers can be set to 4.
It's a parameter of preference, therefore it may happen that for some teachers, this parameter is not satisfied.

Warning

If you have already created a schedule, changing the NUMBER OF DAYS PER WEEK or DAILY MAXIMUM NUMBER OF PERIODS, the current timetable will be deleted, the constraints will be deleted, you can save the current timetable to use it in case of need .
The change of the other parameters will not delete the generated timetable.
Delete timetable it means to delete the time-slots assigned to the lessons or courses and not to delete the lessons themselves.
If you change weekly structure parameters then you must restart the timetable generation.
